Principal's Message

May 2021
Dear Lancaster Families,

I can hardly believe that it is the last month of the school year.  This year we have had to stretch our thinking and find a variety of ways to adjust to the realities experienced because of a worldwide pandemic.  It has been unique, filled with both bright spots and challenges along the way.  It has been an honor serving and supporting the students, staff, and community and I look forward to Lancaster’s continued growth.

We will need to continue to practice safety measures daily. Masks are still required, and students will be encouraged to wash their hands and maintain social distancing. Visitors will not be allowed to enter our buildings without an appointment.   If your student is not feeling well, the best place for them is to remain at home until they are feeling better.   Please also remember that if you or anyone in your household has tested positive or is waiting on test results, your student should remain at home.  Please call us at the school with your specific situation and we can review it with you.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Do you have or know a child who will be turning 5 on or before September 1? If so, now is the time to register him or her for kindergarten! For application, instructions, registration requirements or to find your zoned school, visit or call us!

It’s time for Teacher Appreciation! We take this time to share a kind word or deed to all our staff, as together, we participate in teachable moments to help our students learn and grow.  This newsletter includes a few ideas you can use to show them they are our Super Heroes!  I would like to take a few moments to publicly thank the faculty and staff for their commitment to teaching and learning in the face of extraordinary conditions.  I would also like to thank the students, their families, and the community for partnering with us in our common goal of supporting students.

Best Regards,
Angela Clayton
