Principal's Message

March 1, 2021
Dear Lancaster Families,

We need your help!  We need more responses to our annual parent survey.  It will be open  until March 12, 2021. Your opinion is important and helps us continue to support this wonderful community.  Remember, it is confidential, only takes 5 to 10 minutes and is available in multiple languages. You can access it at

As we move into the spring and prepare for state testing, 3rd-5th grade students are working hard to close gaps that occurred from being out of school last March-May. The Florida Department of Education is indicating that we will still administer the FSA, as planned, and that all students will need to test in a face-to-face setting. Our team is working with some additional strategies to support safety.  As we have more information, we will provide it.

Do you have a child who will be turning 5 on or before September1?  Do you know someone?  If so, now is the time to register him or her for kindergarten.  We start early so we know how many Kindergarten teachers we need at the start of the school year.  To find your zoned school or download your registration packet, visit us online at  Please call the school for a registration appointment or email your registration packet/questions to [email protected]

Important days in March:

Wednesday, March 3: No Early Release Day - Students will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m. instead of the normal early-release in order for all students participating in state assessments to complete their tests without concern for running out of time.

Friday, March 12: Student Holiday – End of the 3rd marking period. No school so teachers can work on grades for report cards.

Monday, March 15-Friday, March 19: Spring Break – School and district offices will be closed.

Tuesday, March 30: Report cards go home.
